Repacing stock Stereo with new. New wiring harness for it?

When replacing the stock stereo in an 86 sunsport does anyone know if you can wire a new one right into the old speakers and what kind/ if any harness that takes?

You don't need a harness. They get wired directly from the stereo harness. I would suggest updating the speaker wire And adding an inline fuse to the constant 12v wire
