I have an 06' 24ssv and I have been told the new 07' rudder makes the boat steer much better. I am wondering can I put an 07' rudder on my 06' boat without modification? If something needs to be modified, then what would be the process? I have heard the slow speed turning for dock manuevers or trailering it far superior with the 07' rudder than in years past.

I don't see any reason why not. A rudder is pretty much a rudder when it comes to mounting.

well my concern was based on the larger size of the new rudder. Thinking about it....is the hole in the hull drilled in the exact same spot, or did they change the location for 2007?
