New to the forum, not to boats. Currently have a 2015 Chaparral 264 Sunesta - It is my dream boat, then we found the sport of wake surfing. So I have mine up for sale.

I am looking at the Supra SA 350.

My question is what is the difference from a 2014 model to 2015 and 16. The only thing I see different from 15 to 16 is steering wheel controls. Also, is the 350 strong enough for 4-6 adults with 4-6 kids?

14 to 15 same boat basically. 16 is a whole new hull. I have a 13 SA450 and boat at 6,000 feet.

All good surfing boats.

The 16 will sit a lot higher in the water. More bells and whistles.

You will find better deals on the 14s and 15s b/c of the new hull in 16. More people will be after he newer hull. More people looking to move up.

14s had the 350 Indmar motors. I would opt for the 450 upgrade. Sleek looking boat. My friend had a 'worlds package' they did a lot of surfing on. 350 motor. Runs fines. 8 people will start to get crowded.

15 and 16 moved to the Ford power - 400 standard. 15 has old hull. The is also a
450 package. 400 would work fine. 450 would be better, but there is a price jump.

I have not been on the 16, but I'm thinking the interior would appear to have more room b/c it's deeper. I have not read anything bad about the boat, even from the hardcore boarders and surfers.

There are probably some new 15s holdovers still around. Those would be deals if you are looking new from a dealer. My local dealer had a new 15 sitting between all the 16s.

16 redesigned has a lot of new items like the steering, storage, back camera. I assume it got a new electronics package.

You need to drive both models.

Surf tabs are different on the models.

First thing I noticed on the 14 is that it would squat in the water pretty low as the side of the hull is not very high. I noticed the 16 looked so beefy and liked that.

When you say the surf tabs are different, what does it do to the wake when you compare. Or better yet, which year puts off a "peakier" wake
