Welcome! Awesome boat.

I haven't been in that boat in particular, but 2 weeks ago I was a boat driver in a hydrofoil competition in Austin and
drove an SA550, and the SA550 Rousch edition, and an SA 440. All awesome. The new Raptors are amazing engines
and talk about POWER!

Have an SE 450 and love it. Take time to play with the settings to dial in the wake just right. I have a Ronix Powertail board that was worth the investment.

Congratulations on the purchase. That boat should provide years of enjoyment. Part of the fun of a new boat is taking the time to learn what makes it do what you want it to. Dial it in and have a blast.

We live in NNW Houston, we spnd most of our time on Somerville. The family has had a place up there for almost 30 years. I've only been on Lake Houston once and it's been a long time. How crowded is it on the weekends during the summer?

Thanks to everyone else we look forward to many fun year out of this boat.

Beautiful boat! I'm usually out of Lake Conroe, but definitely make a few trips out to Lake Somerville. I'll be on the lookout for you when I'm out there.

Weekends can get crowded, same as most lakes in Texas.

I have been to Somerville, camped at the state park.
We had a great time and the water was smooth over the Halloween weekend.
Heard that is not the norm.

There are adjustments you can make to the factory settings for the swell system to make the wave better.
Which side do most of crew ride on?

Well, you've got yourself hooked up with a pretty amazing boat. as far as the surfing goes, don't stress too much on what board you have to start. most of us started on an easier board that we outgrew in a season. Later on, when you decide what kind of riding is the most fun for you, then you can focus on something nicer.

If you have any questions on technique just ask. we'll all be happy to help.

With your boat, I'd try this approach: fill up all ballasts full, set the surf system, see how the wave is. then drain the non-surf side rear until it's perfect. Tweak the surf system to give the best looking/feeling wave.

We are new to wakesurfing so we don't have a preference yet.....

What types of adjustments can be made?
