In PA trail season comes first, then boat season. Have to see the DR today and I hope I get the ok to ride, I can't think of anything worse than being out of commission before the season even starts.

We got to go out yesterday for spring break with the kids my nephews... The water was cold, but felt pretty nice as the day warmed up.

The ice is moving on my lake, I went kayaking around in the breaking ice with my son yesterday... it's a full month early for us to be thinking about ice-out.

I put my newly-upholstered cushions in the boat this morning on my way to work, and I'm getting excited about having it back in the water soon. Of course, I didn't plan to put it in until May 1! We'll see if I can wait that long. Usually I'm the one out there ice breaking with the boat, but the kids take priority and I usually wait until it's at least a little warmer.

Thanks dirtydawg... That's the newest toy. I just put the lift on a few days ago, wanted to see how bad it squatted with that monster on the ball. It pulls nice, and backs up way easier than with my wife's megacab. the mega in front of that boat is a looooong rig! Lol

Thats one Beautiful SunSport you have there Dirty dawg. I love the classic lines with the modern color scheme.

I removed all the teak and swim platform on my SS and gave it the 3 step star brite treatment. It looks much better. Next week i'll roll it out of the garage and start wet sanding and buffing the gel. I'm still a solid month out for good boating weather.

I did it all myself. I have an album in my sig with some pics before, during and after. As for as cost, I lost track, but I could have bought a good used all fiberglass and fuel injected model for what I have in it. But I wouldn't trade it. Thanks for the comments guys

It's warming up here in Oklahoma. This weekend is supposed to be gorgeous. I'm sure the water is still pretty cold since we've had a lot of rain lately and we haven't had a day over 75. Memorial weekend is the common "opening day" for Okies.

Memorial Day is my family's official summer kick off at Lake Murray in OK. Been going there for the past 8-9 years. And that time is quickly approaching. Water temp here at our local lake (Joe Pool) is 62 degrees..... not quite there yet.

NW Oklahoma City! Most of the time we go to Arcadia in the afternoons after work. We'll go a few other places on some weekends, but it's just so close and simple to go to Arcadia for the afternoon/evening.

I wonder if we ever saw you out there and didn't know it. I don't have my boat anymore, but had an 89 Sunsport that I fixed up. We would go out to Arcadia, on weeknights, here and there. We would also go on most weekends.

Here's a shot from a camping trip a few years ago.

Do you know of any reasonably priced storage places nearby?

Okie Boarder
04-22-2016, 02:28 PM
It depends on what you consider reasonable...LOL. I stored mine at Able RV & Boat Storage, off 122nd and Sooner Rd. It was $100 for a fully enclosed unit, 12x27 with a 10' door. They have other sizes, as well.
