Looked at an 08 supra again with 134 hours on the 8.1. Boats practically brand new and looks spotless. The guy won't budge on 53k. Just looking for some input on weAther I should go for it. Seems to be the only 24ssv gg with the 8.1 for sale. Any input appreciated

Great boat but that price is steep. I would say $44-48k would be fair, 40-44 would be a good deal. Anything under $40k would be a steal.

Noticed that boat somewhere else. I recall reading the boat was spotless. Stored indoors, if that is the same boat.

Orig owner? Did he tell you what he paid for it? Not list price.

Good hull. Low hours. Big motor, not sure they made with that motor option.

I would say mid-to-upper 40s.

There was just a '06 or '07 in the Knoxville area that had the smaller motor. It was upper 30s

Yes that was my original post when I first started looking at these boats. Good news i ended up getting it for 53k..not a deal but it was the by far the best boat we looked at. The 8.1 meant a lot to me so that narrowed the options quite a bit. And this was the only one really with low hours and without driving halfway across the country. Thanks for all ur input tho appreciate it.. Coming from an 88' Saltare so It should be a good upgrade. The salts for sale in the classifieds

In 2014 I bought an 06 with about 450 hours for $40k. I wanted the 8.1 and a 24ssv. It was pretty clean, but had been in salt water. Still a great boat. If your happy with the boat that is all that matters. You will love the boat and the engine. My dampner plate did break last year. But I upgraded the rear ballast and was doing a lot of surfing. You will like the upgrade.

Just curious how was the surf wave? Pretty nice with what u had? I'm assuming you had the 1100's in the back?

Definitely a much better surf wave with the 1100's. MJH's link will show some pics from our surfing adventure.

When I started looking for a 24ssv I definitely wanted the 8.1. Mainly because my neighbor has one in his 2001 pick up. It has about 320 thousand miles on it and has used it hard. It still runs well and he has done very little to it. Actually probably abused it without taking great care of it. So I figure it will last a long time with heavy use in a boat.

I could only find two for sale when I found mine. One in Arizona and one in New Orleans. Went with the one south. I do love the boat. Great lines, looks good on the water.

It is like driving a tank once it is weighted down and you drop the speed down when a boarder goes down. Takes a little while to get used to. But other wise a great boat.

You can see how much those 1100's sink her, in the link Mark posted.

I wish is had that motor in my 22SSV.

Many 24s I see for sale, have the smaller motor.

Scott's setup is awesome.

With big ballast and many people on the boat, it has big wake and the motor never struggles.

Inside, there is plenty of room to move around
