HEI Distributor for Comp ts6m

Has anyone done this? I have done all the normal upgrades, Pertronix ignition plate, flamethrower coil, new cap and rotor, new wires, but I still have hard starting issues and late last season it developed an issue of cutting out at high rpm's. I know its not a fuel issue as I have a new Holley 4160 and fuel pump with regulator set to 7lbs. Anyhow I am going to replace the distributor with a new marine HEI unit. Has anyone done this mod to a 351w? They are pretty pricey but I think my prestolite has spring and weight issues and I don't really want to put any more money in a 30 year old distributor.

Performance Distributors has the complete unit with coil and choice of cap color 385.00

That's one of the choices I was looking at. Just hope someone here could give some feedback. I also found this one...

Did H.E.I swap on my pops '84 Stars and Stripes with the 351... really woke that thing up!!!

Would this be wired the same as doing the Performance Distributors swap? My Protec is done, found the tell tale cream ooz coming out of 2 coils down the back of the engine the other day.

Summit has them . Just google HEI marine distributor for a 351w.

I ordered a 351w HEI distributor from Performance Distributors last month. Its a piece of art!!! Hated to stick in in my motor and then cover it up.......
