This sounds fishy. Why would you need to move the motor forward. I question 400 hp. 87 comps came with a one-to-one transmission. A 14 inch prop?

Sounds like he put in a completely different drive train out of a newer boat or truck . Most likely a Chevy engine. The lac of pictures and details makes it questionable. It could be a sweet upgrade or a complete mess?

He sent me a picture, I was contemplating it for parts as I have a near perfect '88 with a PCM 351. Maybe a motor swap one day? Would it be worth it?

It is not a chevy motor. It's a 351w with world heads, comp cam, performer intake and a 750 double pumper, 3.5" glm exhaust straight out....motor was moved forward 6" to accommodate the power slot transmission...it is a 14 x 18 4 blade....I ran 50 mph with 3000 lbs of weight in the boat at over 1500 ft....it will need to be rejted, probably 2 down in the front and 1 in the back....very solid motor, trans, drive....need much cosmetic work

From the looks of it in that pic its a mess. Why would send a pic like that to a potential buyer the concrete block on the bow is the topper. If that is how you took care of it I can just imagine how much care went into the modifications. What a waste of a nice boat.

400 hp question. Did you have this motor on the Dino? Has the 3 inch stainless exhaust pipes been upgraded to 3 1/2 under the floor? Was a ski pylon move forward to accommodate the 6 inches. How did you clock the 50 miles an hour top speed. Do you have any pictures of the upgrades?
