Need help With Ignition Upgrade

Hey Guys,

I have a 1990 Mariah with the 351 in it. I am wanting to upgrade from points to the Pertronix setup.
Can anyone tell which choices to make? I see they have Ignitor, Ignitor 2 and Ignitor 3 and then which coil should I go with? I see different volts and Ohms.... can anyone provide some guidance??

get the part number off your distributor - go to the pertronix website and input the number and that will indicate which pertronix part to buy
you will also need a aftermarket coil - I like msd . but choose what you would like coils are pretty generic
also make sure to have a good cap and plug wires like I said I like msd , choose what you like

Be careful... You need the EXACT one.
I put one on my old 81 Skills Supreme (it had a 351).
When it worked, it worked like a boss. But sometimes, I'd find myself trouble shooting crap for no reason...
Like I said. Keep two of everything and a tester handy...
