engine cooling issue

Hello,

i noticed that the engine temp goes above 175 while cruising at about 10-15mph. If i speed up to 20mph+ it goes back to 160. I replaced the impeller but noticed that the hose going from the water intake pump/filter to the impeller sucks in a little even after being replaced.

Does the water intake pump/filter cause this problem?

Any help is definitely appreciated.

Check for air leaks on the suction side and the impeller.

Check all your hoses for blockages.

Order a sea strainer from skidim while your at it. Good preventative measure for next time.

The suction hose should be very hard, thick wall. It should not suck in at all. If you do have the correct hose, then check the filter, hoses and water intake for obstructions.

Thanks guys, i'll take a look at all my hoses and purchase a new wire reinforced water hose if need be.
