Don't over tighten the 3 brass screws. I just snug them up.
Needle nose pliers worked for me to pull it out.
Put Dawn Dish soap on new one and it slid right in.

Make sure to buy one with the impeller and new gasket.
When you take off the cover, put a mark on the top of it. I will make it easier to put back in the same location.
I put some silicone spray on the old one, and yanked it out w/needle nose. Sometimes you have to shake a little back/forth.
Per above - do not put too much power when putting the brass screws back in.

Not at all...its bolted to the front of the motor (rear if you have a V drive). 4 screws and the plate and gasket come off. The impeller is then sitting right there inside. It tends to stick, so lots of wiggling with needle nosed vice grips might be needed. I solved the sticking by always coating the splines and rubber paddles with dielectric grease.

Got it. Booger was in there. Had to loosen the alternator and take the entire impeller housing g off the balancer pulley. Still only bout a 30 min job. Next time she will hopefully slide out without that much work!
