Out tonight and out of the blue got this ticking sound coming from what sounds like somewhere around the pullies or maybe the lobe that pumps the fuel pump.... Any thoughts as to what it could be? It is in time with the RPMs.

Something in the raw water pump?

Lifters? how is your oil pressure? oil level? Does the engine tick when your turning it over with the starter, before it starts? You can remove the mechanical fuel pump, and remove the fuel pump rod, then reinstall the pump. Spin it over and see if your noise is gone with the fuel pump push rod removed. If its still there, its not coming from your fuel pump.

Check oil level. Can u get ur hands on a stethascope and put on rocker covers to see where the noise is coming from. If noise is there then Remove rocker covers and check if any movement in lifters. Might need adjusting.

I had a bad head gasket that resulted in a ticking sound ... might want to check that. (on my 2008)

Can you attach an audio or video file here? Exhaust manifold bolts might be loose. That'll make a ticking noise.

My tapa talk is messed up. I thought I wasn't getting any replies. Just saw all of these. Not sure what it was but it went away. I tightened my belts and the squeak and that went away.

i'd be leaning towards a lifter tick. its not uncommon for them to tick, especially if you were just running it hard (not saying that you were). I'd pull the valve covers and check valve adjustment. What kind / weight of oil are you running?
