Boat went in for new stringers Monday and a long block is on the way. Stringers were done before in '97 but the guy didn't do a great job, not all of the boards were covered in glass.

If I had have known it only takes 31 seconds to remove the cap I would have done mine long ago.

Yeah. What's that saying about boats again...$3,000 both shops I took it to had the same quote.

I also ordered a reman'd long block with GT-40 heads from Atlantic Marine, figured while it's out - why not?
