Bilge Pump won't turn off

So my bilge pump won't turn off. Even when the switch is off the red light is still on & I can hear it running. I have to disconnect the batteries at night.

Any ideas?

Float could be stuck.

I had opposite problem today, I have a leak somewhere and bilge quit working. Pulled bilge out and float was stuck. Will be replacing tomorrow. Cost me half a day on lake today
