My son, Nate got up on the first try. New board and new boat. Lake Lavon. It was choppy but we got a few passes in to get the feel. Video coming soon.

Wave was dialed in this past weekend.17702

A short video is here https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B_70tlvFc3KjMnJHNHJxT3dJYXM

I had 1,100 lbs in rear port sac, around 350 lbs in front sac, pretty full boat with 7 passengers plus the surfer. Wave was long with plenty of push.

Nice! Have him pull himself a bit closer to the boat to get more push from the wave. He's pretty far back for a beginner - there's just less push back there. That's a fantastic beginning run, though - I've seen plenty need a lot more time to be that steady and comfortable. If he goes to youtube he can find a ton of how to's on wake surfing.

Thanks Mark! I will definitely have him do that. He watched a bunch of videos to get to this point so they're definitely a good source of instruction. He's hooked.

On a long leash (85') on my old Hyperlite Roam. Every time i touch this board I re-learn the importance of body positioning for a good edge (not relying on fins or tracking features in the base)

Picture didn't come off as I wanted, was going for the Shaun Murray-esqu throwing buckets to slide on the Roam

Finally got our wave dialed in a couple weeks back, just in time for it to start getting cold...177631776217761

This was with ~1800 lbs in back lockers, 400 lbs in ski locker and a mission delta at about 11.1 mph

22'?

Do you have 400# in the middle?

What happens if you get weight in the bow?

The locker is maxed with the 400 # and with the 22 sunsport there is nowhere to plumb a sack in the bow. I haven't invested in any moveable sacks as what we've got seems to be working pretty well. That being said putting weight up front likely would bring the height down a bit and give a little more push.

Thanks. I have a 2007SSV. A few years ago I plumbed a bow sack for wakeboarding. Never use is when surfing - front or middle.

We use the 400# up front most of the time as it helps give the wave some more push. Knocks down the height a little but we have gobs of push at nearly 3 feet of swell.
