Just wanted to throw an FYI out there on what I found when replacing my throttle cable on my 92 Mariah. The cable was pretty easy to replace after twisting, turning, and finally pulling the throttle control from its side mount. What I found inside where the cable mounts to the control, was a brass connector that was almost wore completely through. This inevitably going to happen from everyday use without lubrication. I purchased a new connector from skidim and greased it before installing it into the control. It will save you some time and prevent some lost days on the water if you purchase this connector with the cable. Here is the link to the part on skidim.

Great info on what most of us would have ignored.
Now on my spring to do list.
Thx so much!
