Island Marine hosted the grandfather of Owners Reunions, the 5th Annual Southwest Owner’s Reunion, this past weekend hosting the largest gathering of Supra and Moomba boats in one place. More than 50 Supra and Moomba boats were on hand with over 200 guests.

Guests were treated to a Cocktail Party the first evening with Hot Wheels Drag Racing Elimination Heats, NHRA style. The competition between Supra and Moomba owners was fierce. Everyone pulled together the following morning at the Naked Turtle for a driver meeting to work out the details of the Poker Run and headed over to the cove for some more good competitive fun. At the cove owners competed against one another in the hilarious three–legged races. Everyone mended their wounds and raced out to Mothers Bay for a tie up float party.

Island Marine had lunch awaiting the crew and several more hilarious games to keep the competition going between Supra and Moomba owners. As the evening drew near we assembled a boat parade that passed under the famous “London Bridge” that now spans the Bridgewater Channel and headed back to the Nautical Inn to clean up and get ready for the Awards Ceremony and the Hot Wheels Drag Racing Finals.

You know, I thought the hot wheels race was intense, but the next morning everyone lined up to compete in the Trailer Backing Contest. The top three boasted scores from 7 seconds to 5 seconds, insane! Some contestants eliminated themselves within 2 seconds. Maybe next year we can have the bottom three do a demo!

The 5th Annual Southwest Owners Reunion was an amazing event. The host hotel even stated that they looked forward to the Supra and Moomba owner’s event each year because it was like a pep rally and a fun group of people. I also noticed guest’s saying before the event was even over that they couldn’t wait until next year. You know there is nothing better than spending time with people who share the same enthusiasm for boating and watersports!

Thanks Island Marine!

Will there ever be one of these in the Midwest around KY, TN, or IL?

There were Supra/Moomba Jamboree's in Clermont, Fl; Portland, Oregon and Chicago areas last year.

Hopefully again this year. Each one keeps getting better and better.

Hi Ed, She went on 2or3 boats that weekend. Her and Leo where having a great time. Natalie and hubby are alot of fun. In Portland she was on one of the boats that pulled some of the riders. Ed I sure hope we can get you to come out to Portland next year and ride.

ya know, we Jamboree creators/coordinators are doing Skiers Choice a hell of a marketing favor. They ought to get us together at each other's event.

I have a 93 year old mother who has cancer and all my spare cash goes into plane trips between Pittsburgh and Orlando.

I would love to be there. If Skiers Choice would send me, I'd jump on the first plane.

To answer you question about the TN or KY owners reunion, check with your local dealer to see if hosting an owner’s reunion in your area is something they could pull together. Of course we help! Meanwhile, I will let you know if any dealers in the KY or TN area decide to host an event.

Alright, Mr. Ed G. you have to give me a break - the FL Jamboree was my first owner’s reunion, now I am a veteran and skilled boat hopper! Thanks for backing me up Sesstor.

And Ed, I am so sorry that your mother is ill. I will keep her in my prayers. Meanwhile, Maketing will have to start saving $$$ to send you out!

Hi Natalie, I have lots of pics to show that she is a pro boat hopper. Maybe get the people who put on or help put on the reunions say at the factory to work out Ideas to better the events. Maybe?

We could get afew people together with you where Ideas could be put together to better our reuions for the boat owners and quests along with sponsers, dealers and S.C. So we put the information in a package which could be different for other parts of the country. We could put this together so each reuion would represent itself, just better with more boats, riders , sponsers hopfuly more fun. I'm sorry I am so bad at this computer thing.

you guys work it out.

I do recall Jay Warren once cooking steaks for the Skiers Choice employees and that sure sounds good.

In the meantime, I'm going over Josh Sanders' house and bang on his front door and yell and holler till he lets me in.

Which do you think will happen first? Josh will let me in or the cops will show up?

Natalie, you don't have to be so formal...you can call me Mr. Ed
