Tower Speaker Question

I am curious as to how the setup comes installed from the factory. Are the boat interior speakers set to the front channels and the tower speakers set to the rear channel so they can be contolled with the fader or are they on whenever the stereo is turned on?

My Gravity Games boat came with 2 4-channel Kenwood Excelon amps. Amp 1, channels 1 and 2 are the cockpit speakers. Amp 1, channels 3 and 4 are the front bow speakers. These play off of the front pre-outs of the head unit. Amp 2, channels 1 and 2 are bridged on a Kenwood Excelon 10" woofer (actually already gone, it sucked!), and channels 3 and 4 are playing the tower speakers. The towers are the rear pre-out, and the woofer is on the sub pre-out.
