Dusting off that brain cell...I think it's a little forward of the oil filter.

I was pretty sure this was it:

until Salty mentioned the side of the block, now I'm not as 100% sure...

Pretty sure the on on the intake is the temp since its near the thermostat, and the one on the block is oil pressure since it's near the filter.

Went out to dinner with Mrs Salty last night and..no kidding, at dinner...it dawned on me that the temp sensor is near the thermostat. Korey's got it right. Dinner rocked!

Indeed, in the intake near the thermostat housing. The sensor down near the oil filter is the oil pressure sender.

Now, does anyone know how to check to see if the sender is bad? Lol

Easy, a pot of boiling water and an ohm meter. Look for a swing in ohms as it heats and cools.

Ok. So it stays at 110 (didn't take it out of the boat yet) but I had an IR gun out with me tonight. Shot the tstat housing and all around it and it is close to 110-115. Me thinks my tstat is forever open....
now that I say that I'm trying to remember if I put the tstat back in when I summarized it.... [emoji51][emoji51]
