I bought a 1989 Supra competition ski boat it has a ford 351 with a 600 cfm Holley carb on it. Just had the exhaust tubes and impeller replaced. Changed the oil twice within 15 hours of running time. First time i changed it the oil was basically like syrup second time extremely black but came out easier. I took it out last weekend we ran it for about 30 minutes shut it off for an hour took a little while but finally got it started ran it again and shut it off but it wouldn't crank back up ended up killing the battery and getting a tow. Intake was flooded with fuel do you think the carb needs rebuilding? Also any recommendations as far as swapping over to electric ignition and any other problems people might have had?

Rebuild and replace floats with brass ones from summit racing my plastic ones were flooding the engine with gas
