Has anybody added any under water transom lights? I am going to add some next week to my 06 22SSV and was just curious if anyone has done it? If so, has there been any issues? And yes I did check with the Dealer who in turn checked with the regional Skiers Choice Rep and this does not void the hull warranty.

Thanks!

cb - Would sure like to see your finished project. I've read it advertised as a factory install on a Malibu, but never actually seen under water transom lights on any ski or wakeboard boat. According to Brian at SC, the back of the fuel tank sits four inches in front of the stern in my '07 Outback. Depending on the brand, I hope to use thru hull design under water lights. Color choices seem to be green, blue, or white. I run on smaller lakes that are average water quality and clarity so plan on white lights. They are not cheap - in the $250 to $300 range for one. Also, am installing a second battery so we can sit dead calm in the water, engine off, with the lights and sound system on. Need the second battery to get back to the dock. Good luck. Please keep us posted. Thanks. - Deerfield

Thanks for the reply deerfield. I had them put on today and they look awesome. The only hole drilled is 1/8 inch to allow for the wire and that is it. Didn't cause any fuel tank issues. I will try and get out there this week and get some pictures and get them posted for you. I used the 800 series LED lights (blue) from Abysslite. (www.abysslite.com) They also have install procedures posted. They are great because they pull really low amps for the amount of light they put out. The water clarity at my lake is pretty good, so i am hoping to get about a 30 foot stretch of light, but since my boat is winterized, i have to wait about a month to find out. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Thanks,

CB

Wow, that looks impressive. Do you have any pictures of your installation? Any major problems? I have an 07 Sunsport 22V and would love to add some lights.

Thanks

Sorry i didn't take any install pictures, but no issues to speak of. I cheated and had someone do it for me that had done it on other boats. I didn't trust myself when it came to drilling through the hull

Check out www.hydrotunes.com

These guys should be able to help you out if you are interested.

They may have taken some install pictures. I will ask and if they did, i will post them.

Thanks,

CB

I am installing ones under the platform on my 03 SSV and will post picks of the process--should require no drilling through the transome either

Which lights are you going to use? Are you planning on running the wires up and over the back into the engine\storage compartment?

Thanks for the compliments guys. I am trying to get some install photos up for people wanting to do this. I am using the S-800 model from www.abysslite.com.
