Don't let the bow dive or you will swamp the front

Have conbrio open bow which is smaller cousin to mariah . The latter has a bit more freeboard.
Both models can take water over the bow so are known as wet boats.
That said we have never been swamped but rather the play pen cushion has gotten wet and a towel quickly dries it up!
These boats come with a snap on bow cover which I usually leave on when on the lake, especially in rough water or a storm.
Acts then just like a closed bow. What I consider choppy water is not an issue if cover is off.
We take our cover off if slow cruising, anchoring to swim or picnic or just floating"
It is the large oncoming waves (often from wakeboarder and surf style boats that come too close --- sorry guys! ) that can give you the large waves that will come over the nose if not under power. It is not the first wave but rather the second that will dip your nose.
Simply power up to lift your nose above the set of waves.
If in a storm and heavy waves then again power up so nose is up and bow is cutting through waves as you would in any other boat.
We have owned our conbrio since 1992, live on the lake and use it in the summer daily.
Thoroughly enjoy the open bow . You will quickly become adept at handling the " wet" issue.
The 92 mariah is an awesome alround boat with composite stringers.
Enjoy!
