You know, on second thought now that I'm looking at the pictures more closely.......I really think you could use some more practice. I will gladly send you my skins so you can get a little more practice in :lol::lol::)

Very nice! Are you using the wife's machine or do you have an industrial sewing machine? I guess, not to be sexist, it could be industrial AND hers, LOL.

Killer job. I always thought it would look great to update an older boat with the speaker/drink holder side panels from the newer models. Looking forward to the finished pics.

You have a program to do the lettering?

Actually went out and got my own machine after getting quotes for over $4k. I'm using a singer 319. It doesn't even bog down until running through 4 layers of vinyl.

Same! The side panels make it look so much better. I'm also doing seadek on the floor which I haven't seen in any of these older boats. As for the lettering, I've got a lady that does embroidering on the side for super cheap.

You can get material by the yard at greatlakesskipper.com They'll also send you samples so you can get the color just right and they sell welting by the foot premade

Keep the pics coming. Any links to youtube videos would be much appreciated as well. Those singer 319's are plenty and cheap and look solid! Good choice.

I've been slacking on video but plan on at least doing a time laps on my next one. Unfortunately the machine has timing issues at the moment, hoping for an easy fix

Finished up the vinyl in the rear pad. I had an issue when sewing diamond pattern but I'll leave that for you to spot. I think the heat and sun will help it a bit. In the middle is a piece of wood, which has been fiberglassed, and wrapped in stick on vinyl, and will soon have "seadek" installed there. It will serve as a sturdy step for easier transitions in and out ,as well as, a way to preserve the vinyl.

Really like your idea of having seadek on the pad, getting ready to redo mine this winter and will consider that!

So I want a full rear seat but I also want a step for getting in and out as well so here's what I came up with. I'm happy with it https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170731/dc51f3a09afb563c42c18f67f354869c.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170731/b645a27e3b99fb2760eae546cafff962.jpg

https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170806/06292c32f66393ae63401b2427f45549.jpg the upholstery in rear of the boat is officially done! Now on to the passenger seat.

Instead of using latches for the cushions I made this up real quick. Not sure how it's going to hold up but works for now.

That's just vinyl wrap on the floor right now. I'm planning on doing an off brand of seadek for faux teak flooring over it
