Hi All,
I've never worked on a trailer before so a little bit ignorant there. I've check boatmate's website & it's bit vague or only has specs & descriptions for their current trailer setups.

Anyways last time out I noticed that my right turn signal is no longer working. Running lights still work, but not brake light, so is there a fuse box for the lights I should check first? Or should I plan on getting the replacement lights?

It's on a 2011 boatmate trailer for a 242, if that makes any difference.

Thanks!

Check your connection for corrosion. Once that is clean, if you still have an issue, it is likely somewhere in the wires. Often, it is easier to just get the kit with new wires than to try and find the short. Use the old wires to pull the new wires through the trailer when you install.

I would check the insert on the vehicle for the trailer lights. I had a similar issue and it was a blown fuse on my truck. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/380976449703550166/?lp=true

What tow vehicle do you have . Is the light a LED or standard bulb . Gm trucks have a fuse for the trailer lights it wont effect the truck lights.

Yeah GMC 2500 & its LED lights. But wouldn't a fuse affect both sides?

No, theres a separate fuse for just trailer lights.

Regardless, just grab a volt meter and start diagnosing. Without one, any guess is a shot into the dark. It could be a number of things...

If you don't want to buy a replacement light, pop one out that works and plug it into the one that doesn't. See if that resolves. If so = new light for the other side.

Most trailer light issues that i run into are actually grounding issues.
