85 Supra whine

I have a 85 Supra sunsport with a 454. I just got the boat summer of 17.. runs great only problem is I hear a whine from the back after going fast and then when I turn sharp I can also hear it, fluid is good, changed It and flushed it. I’m clueless any ideas. The boat ran maybe once a year before I got it. Runs great.

What transmission do you have and what ratio ?
The trannies tend to have a whine sound to them in general.
Nothing untoward unless its is a very loud whine.

I’m not 100% sure of ratio, velvet drive.... and it only does it when turning and after going fast, like when you’re slowing down, it’s pretty noticeable people have asked me what it is and I have no idea..

Found this ( see below) on Correct Craft users site.
Owner was complaining of whine when turning .
Velvet drive transmission.

mjg, the trans will pull air on turns momentarily at the suction screen it is common for that noise to appear,

89, they started using them in 89, they have redesigned the valve to eliminate the noise, there are on thier 3rd designed valve. I never hear any complaints with the later transmissions. if it is a planet noise chances are they also made changes to the planets to quiet them. 89 you are probably experiencing a planetary noise not a valve noise. here is my number, i have late style valves and plants. 877-369-6693
