Wakeshaper on Graphics

I apologize if this has been posted before, but does anyone have experience with using suction cup wakeshapers on graphics? The graphics I have are not a solid piece, but rather they’re cut into individual pieces. I was thinking of putting a clear vinyl wrap over the area where it would mount to give it a chance for an even surface. Thoughts?

Even though the vinyl is only a few thousandths thick, it will reduce to holding power of the suction cups.
