I'm not trying to be rude, but Google has marine intake manifolds for 351's all day. Is there something specific you are trying to achieve that you are looking for feedback on.

I have googled, what I would like to know from others experience what would be the best replacement for a standard application for my 1989 351.I would prefer something close to what came on it originally.I have not been able to locate an original intake.Im not looking for performance upgrade.
Thanks,Tom

What happened to the original intake?

I believe the original PCM part number for your application is R002003a. The part is NLA from PCM, but you could probably stumble across it somewhere online...expect to pay $800-1200 or so.

That said, you can pick up any number of intakes from Summit/Jegs for 250 or less. Really any of the aftermarket options are going to be good fits for you. Check into Edelbrock or maybe Weiland for a few dollars cheaper. Both sites will let you search the intakes by engine type and then you can see exactly what options are there

In general look for the low end torque manifolds. On a ski boat coming out of the hole is the main thing you want, so an RV style intake is even great. Once you're on plane you are far less interested in the torque. A manifold advertising idle to 3500 would be about right.

If it will work on my 1989 I'm very interested.

I have the manifold off and am going to clean it up.There is a pan of some type under the middle of the manifold with what looks like two rivets.can someone tell me what is this?

I figured it out

It’s a heat shield. It prevents the oil from burning where the exhaust cross-over goes through the manifold.

I figured...I just hate when threads don't have closure when I do a search for answers, so I figure others may be the same?!?
