Can anyone tell me where this purple wire is supposed to connect? Not sure if PO took a short cut but I'm having issues getting power to my fuel relay and wonder if this has anything to do with it. I was hoping someone might check their engine for me? It's a 2002 Supra Launch with 5.7 litre assault engine and tbi. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180711/768867b9bf4168992137f3f49bc63246.jpg

It does indeed cross over the harness plug. Likely a quick fix by the previous owner

That is a scotch lock on the end of that purple wire, not factory. You have a manual?

The dealer-installed options on my 2000 Launch used a few Scotchloks.

It could be anything, but purple is typically used for the starter signal wire. Where does it go in the harness?

The purple wire was the answer to all my ignition sysyems and fuel pump powering problems. I attached it and everything was back to normal.
