I have a 2004 Launch G.G.E. with a 340 horse indmar engine. From the research i have done here on the forums, I think my voltage regulator may be going bad. Sometimes my voltage gage reads 10 volts for 30 to 90 seconds when the y ignition key first turns on but my batteries are good when check with a Fluke DVM, and I have checked the connections for tightness and or broken connections. It also causes my perfect pass to have a problem turning on where it takes 20 or 40 seconds to actually get on. This problem only happens when you start the engine or turn the key from the off position to on. sometimes it doesn't happen at all, and sometimes it does and then the voltage comes back up and everything works fine. I have charged my batteries and load tested them, they are good. The other forum post said the "voltage regulator" might be bad. Where can I find this regulator? is it built into the alternator or is it seperate? Thanks for your help.
