Carpet/interior cleaner

I was wondering if anyone has a recemondation for a mildew spray that can be used for carpets in compartments? The cubby that I place the life vests in seems to stay damp, even when left open for long periods of time.

Elbow grease!!!!! You got to soak the carpet with hot water and Mrs clean mix. (Works the best for me) brush as hard as you can then soak again with hot water and vacuum with a strong shop vac!
Hot water and vaccum is the most important part dont let the dirt get back in the carpet!!!!

My wife uses Tilex mold and mildew remover. It has been the best of what we have tried. Hope this helps.

I read that steam cleaning method works best...hot water does the trick too..soak it, and turn every now and then to make sure that the whole carpet is well soaked
i think powder detergents come in handy in such situations too..make sure you rinse at least two times.
