New ballast pumps?

I would like to upgade my puppy pumps to King Pumps on my 2015 550 SE. The King pumps suggest a 25 Amp fuse and the Puppy pumps suggest a 20 Amp fuse. Can these be swapped out without having to change the wiring?

Take a look at the size of the wiring. If it’s 12 AWG the your right on the edge but if it’s 10 AWG then there is no issue.

The reg Johnson or Jabsco pumps usually have 12g. I know if you buy a replacement kit from Wakemakers, that is what they send you with the kit and wiring harnesses.

I think the Kings draw a continuous 19a and come with bigger wires from Wakemakers. Probably what is mentioned above - 10g.

Might also want to check your hose size. They sell a big 1-1/8” for those bigger pumps to take advantage of the increased flows.
