Hi. I’m a brand new Supra owner having just purchased a 2019 Supra Sl last week. Every time I start the boat I have this harsh popping noise from the speakers and nothing I’ve tried can get it to stop. It’d be great if anybody has any advice on this. I’ve talked to my salesperson and he was looking into this but hasn’t yet got back to me.
Thanks

This is a known problem (I have it on my 18 SL). The way to avoid it is to only start your boat with the battery switch set to 1+2. You can switch it back if needed after starting.

Ok. I’ll give that a try a bit later today. Thanks

In my opinion I would avoid switching batteries while the engine is running. It could ruin the diodes in the alternator, especially if you accidently go to OFF.

This thread leads me to the question I’ve seen on a few blogs. Do you run the boat in battery position 1, 2 or 1+2. Does it charge both batteries when running?

2018SA also pops.

I simply mute the audio.

You should run in 1 or 2 and 1+2 is intended to be an emergency low battery starting mode only if both batteries go low.

My rule is 1 for odd days 2 for even days.

Good method. Maybe they should add this to the manual. Ha hahttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190724/e85979539a4cdca379dcf2d6e291c2c2.jpg
