Floor/Carpet question.

Hi everyone! Im cutting new floor insert pieces (the removable pcs of the floor)and adding carpet to them. The question is how much of a gap (where the floor and floor insert meet) do I leave to allow the carper to fold under on both sides. ?? 1/4"? 1/8"?? Thanks Jet! Yes Im still alive.

I think I cut my ply about a 1/4" narrow measuring from the carpet with a 1/8" Router edge. I also shave an 1/8" from the bottom of the plywood to make the floor level because of the thickness of the carpet on the bottom side.
