Bug catcher-style intake?

Ok, so this may be an immature or naive post, but IMO a 454 is a Big badd a motor. Has anybody installed or thought about and stalling the bug catcher or style intake on the top of their 454? Is it even possible? The factory their cleaner seems a little underwhelming in my opinion. Big horsepower big block big intake am I right? Or am I silly for thinking This

Its not a air cleaner its a flame arrester . Modifying or removing it will get you a ticket if you are pulled over and inspected. Not to mention the risk of fire. Make sure its clean and don't mess with it.
