Faria depth gauge

The depth gauge in my 2002 Santera will not read depth any more, you can set the top and bottom alarms and the keel offset. At on time it would flash the depth and seemed to take a long time to cycle. Any help would be appreciated.

have you checked to see that the transducer is still firmly attached to the hull?

Yup, you need to check and see if the transducer puck is still bonded to the inside of the hull. Also the connection between the x-ducer and display. and check the cord for cuts or chafing.

I'll add this if your planning on replacing. I have never heard anything good about faria instruments, but have heard quite a few bad things. When I can fit a depthfinder into my budget and actually have time to install it, the only thing that will go on my boat will be a Humminbird.

Thanks for the postings. Everything looks good the puck actually sits in a holder, I spoke with Faria about my problem, sent off my depth gauge for repair.
