So has anyone actually done the mythical 400 to 450 "program" upgrade on the ECU without paying the dealer like 6k? Any how to's? or Lesson's learned?

Nope. Rumors only on the ECU flash.

If you are running something like 2018, you might get more from a reprop.

The rumor was 400 to 440 is an ECU. You can’t buy a 440 ecu unless you have a 440. Dealers won’t do it and can’t do it.

48 HP and 23 ftlbs wasn’t worth $7000 on a Supra.

Most of the HP increase comes from a higher redline.

I'm pretty familiar with LS based motors. They are tuned very well from the factory in most forms so I doubt there is 50 HP hiding in that ECU. Quite sure the 450 has a larger cam and or slightly better flowing heads to get to the higher HP rating. Plus, its the same 6.2 liters so you're only going to feel any power difference above 4000 rpms where our boats dont spend much time. Torque is the answer in boats and more displacement whether in cubic inches or forced induction is the only way to increase that. Have a great Fathers Day weekend Supra fans!

The 450/460 is a 93 octane tune and likely some internal upgrades over the 440/450 variant that is still 89 octane tune. I doubt there are internal differences between 400 and 440

400 and 450 are torque ratings. The hp is in the 300s.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200620/b9c7c2909177c9340b0408a117519a32.jpg
