Man, that takes some serious talent. At least everyone made it to shore OK.

Very fast? Right...... 35-40 mph, maybe?

wow, I can't quite picture how that happened at speed... I was expecting the story to involve wakesurfing and a boat loaded way down on one side... very lucky though.

Hmmm...I'm surprised there was no mention of whether or not they were drinking.

If they were drunk, bet they were sober by the time the wrestled that thing back onto the trailer.

Maiden voyage with 6 people on a busy day and an inexperienced owner at the helm... That trip was practically doomed before they left the dock.

At least the flotation foam did its job. Cheaper than having to get a barge and crane out there to haul it off the bottom. You can salvage a lot from a sinking in freshwater if you get to work quickly before corrosion starts to set in.

The engine could probably be saved if it wasn't running when it went down. If it was going wide a$$ open is a goner though.

Hope got a binder check to his insurance agent before this... doubtful unfortunately.

Think of this guy and the quote in my sig every time you look at a used boat/ :-)
