I have a 1986 comp ts6m that we are rebuilding the ford 351windsor engine. The camshaft that is in it is no longer available from ford and would like to hear any thoughts of what might be a good aftermarket replacement. We use the boat pretty loaded for wakeboarding and surfing. Any thoughts would be great.

Submit this form http://www.compcams.com/information/CamForm/camform.asp to Comp Cams and they should get you a recommendation pretty quick.

While you're rebuilding, have you considered building a stroker motor? Using an aftermarket crank (preferably forged), you can get the 351 up to 393 cu in with no block modifications. Probably and extra 50-75 ft-lbs of torque just with the crank alone.

That's my plan when Mariah needs a rebuild at least, except i'll add some extra goodies though: full roller valvetrain with a little more aggressive cam.

He's right.... just call Comp Cams.... they'll ask you the questions they need to figure out exactly how wild to get with the cam.
