Zach @ Premier Boats posted on this on Facebook today:

ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!

COME ONE COME ALL! PREMIER WATERSPORTS WILL BE HOSTING THE SUPRA AND MOOMBA BOATS OWNERS REUNION.

DATE: AUGUST 20TH AND 21ST
TIME: SUN UP UNTIL WE GO TO BED.
WHERE: NORRIS LAKE, TN (on lake location tbd)

Premier Watersports will be hosting a Supra and Moomba Owners reunion. We will have a houseboat parked in a cove so everyone can tie up. You all are welcome come aboard to hang out and relax, drink, eat and most important talk about how great our boats are. We will have some of the new 2023 Supra and Moomba boats for viewing. Also Hyperlite will be there with the new 2023 products as well. We are trying to get a few more details lined out but wanted to get this out so everyone can start planning early. We are shooting for the middle of the lake so it isn't to far of a boat ride for one more then the other. Thank you all and I hope to see you all there. Lets try to make this the biggest one yet.

I heard George Fowler lives in Tenn Is there any chance of inviting him to attend? I would love to meet the man that started it all.

There was a guy on here, Joe Higgins (?sp?) that posted last year about having a BBQ place in Townsend TN that is friends with him. I posted pics when George visited the factory last year. Joe was posting something on that thread while George was sitting with him. You could try to message him to get George's contact info.

I usually take some trips to the Townsend TN area to fly fish when the weather starts to get warmer. If I remember, I can stop by that place to ask. Small town and I love BBQ.

I would bet there would be other people that would like to talk to him, ask questions, or listed about stories in those boat building days.

I thought you guys knew me better than that. A month before you posted George at the factory, I had already sent a message to joehiggins dated 02-25-21 at 2:59 pm in regards to doing an event to celebrate Supra's 40th anniversary with George in attendance. I never got a reply back from Joe and he probably hasn't been back on this forum since :(

I also sent an email to the Tinkers and the powers that be asking about a 40th reunion to no avail, not that I was holding my breath on that one.

I tried guys. I will continue to investigate further.

That should be a good spot. They talked about the start-up around the Stardust Marina area, but nothing is set yet.

If you're not camping, where's a good place to stay?

If Stardust Marina is the start up area, (per MJHKnox) I was looking at staying at the Knoxville - Clinton I-75 exit where there is a Hampton inn with cold AC and lots of food options and only 11 miles to launch. If that changes, then I would look elsewhere but for now, have made reservations.

I spoke to Zach last week. No updates to share.

I'm betting they will decide the cove soon - probably around the Stardust and Waterside Marina areas - or close to.

There was a message on social media about Boy Scout Cove being the meet up place.

I might make it down for this one, for real this time since it's not back to back with my annual trek north to the lake around 4th of July. We did an eastern TN trip last September and loved the area, basically scouting to see if we'd like to move there. Stopped by the Supra factory and picked up some fenders at the trailer shop next door that I have yet to install. We loved the area but did not get on the water anywhere. This is a great excuse to spend some time on the water in TN and see what it's like compared to the northeast. I'd hear the water is warmer with less rocks and more sand, already great in my book. Not sure where to stay but considering renting a place on Norris Lake for a week to avoid the ramp every day and get more time on the water.

If you plan on renting, do not wait too long. Lots of OH and KY people coming down each weekend all summer long.

Kate and I are still planning on the trip and might have some friends from AR on the boat with us.

Local, so will probably drive up on Saturday AM. Might find a place to stay on Friday night or Sat night at a friend's, so we will play it by ear.

Nothing posted on social media about any updates or news recently.

I talked to Zach at Premier Watersports this afternoon. It is still "on" for Saturday and Sunday in Boy Scout Cove. He will have an 80ft house boat there.

Well I got back from the event on Monday and seeing all the comments here it is in line with the way the event went. From the time we arrived on Thursday there was no contact or information of the event . Nobody at the campground ever heard of boy scout cove . No signs posted at the mouth of the cove [ we missed it by miles ] the houseboat was hidden around the corner of the cove out of sight. The only good thing was meeting with Evan and Morgan 88 Comp they came into the campground late Thursday. We were the only old boats at the event . I wish I would have known it was a local surf boat event before I wasted my time and money leaving paradise here on Lanier . It didn't seem to be a sales event we were interested in a new foil board . The Hyperlite rep didn't give us the time of day . Mark in the blue Moomba was kind enough to let us try their Slingshot foil. All in all it was a great lake [not dog friendly no shoreline to walk up]. As usual the Supra/Moomba owners were friendly and made the event some what better and we did make some new ski buddies from Ohio .

I'm glad you were able to make the most of it. Kinda glad my rebuild was not complete yet. At some point I would like to attend a meetup or Supra reunion.

Any clue why most boater reunions are so late in August? School here in Texas is usually starting when the the reunions are scheduled.
