My dealer claims that no one else is having a problem with the aluminum "hooks" for the bungees on the wakeboard racks. We have broken three in two years and just wondering if we are really the only ones doing this. Or, if someone has figured out an alternative to using them.

You aren't the only one! On my 06 they broke at least twice, I just broke one on my 07 over the weekend!

They stink. Mine broke almost immediately on my '06

I drilled a hole in the plate and installed a stainless knob and now just loop the strap over it. Lots quicker and easier than trying to get that flat metal connector in the slot.

I haven't had any problems with them so far. I will keep an eye on it.
On the other hand, the rubber piping that holds the boards in the racks is worn through at the inside edge where the board edge rests. I am looking for a solution there, as Roswell doesn’t have any other thicker inserts to replace it with. Does anyone have a solution for this or a rubber replacement idea?
In heavy seas the boards are getting nicks in them from hitting the metal.
