gas leaking from vent tube

Hey everyone,

I've got an 88 Comp TS6M and after I fill up with gas, it "leaks" from the vent tube. If I loosen the gas cap, it stops. but it will spill over down the side of the boat and in the lake. Keep doing this until I run about 1/4 of the tank out. Any ideas what might be causing this and how to remedy? Thanks for any info!

I had a similar issue with my Comp. I ended up installing an expansion chamber in the vent line and the problem has pretty much disappeared.
