I was wondering if anybody has detailed instructions on how to winterize an 2007 Supra.

There's a section in the owners manual about it. Not a whole lot to do though, I did mine last year.

Todd not much to it. I can send you some pictures and details of what you need to do. Really easy.

I would like the pictures and such if you have available. Our local dealer shut their doors without notice so I may have to tackle myself. Previous boats were jet, so this is new to me as well. Thanks: [email protected]

I will be out of town for 2-3 weeks, I can post these pictures and info when I get back. I took the pictures last season and they are on a disc at another location. Sorry for the delay.

When you winterize do you pull the impeller every year or how often? On mine (2006 21V) it looks hard to access.

Thanks,

rich

I usually take the top hose off (at the impeller) and I pour either glycerin lube or armour all into it after I flush and drain everything.

I have been using the same impeller for two years now.
I take it out and check it every 3-4 weeks, it looks brand new.

As far as getting it out the impeller is not that difficult.
What I have found is if you take the motor cover off (remove the screws that hold the hinges) and you can reach it fairly easy. Also take out the plastic piece that is screwed into the fiberglass right behind the cross-over for you exhaust.Pour some glycerin lube into the top hose and it slides out no problem.

I'm in the same boat as Todd. I have a '99 Legacy which I just purchased that didn't come with a manual. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Does winterizing your boat yourself void or cause any warrany issues with Supra?

I have a 06 21V Supra.

To remove spark plugs seem that a thin walled spark plug socket is needed. At least the one I have does not fit over the plug due to the manifold being in the way. True??

Is the spark plug size 5/8 or 13/16?

thanks,

rich

Mine is a '99, so things might look a bit different, but the process is the same. Good luck!

Could you repost the PPT for download please? Appears it has been removed from the URL you originally posted - Thanks

Regarding the voiding the warranty question - not if you do it right. Now on the other hand, if you miss some water & it freezes, no manufacturer's warranty would cover that. Just follow the manual's instructions & go for it. It really isn't that hard to do.
