Launch SSV Bow Pad Removal Help

I'm finally taking on the big one.....the full re-upholster of my 2003 Launch SSV. I've been practicing with my machine for the past couple years by building canvas projects for my sailboat and a ton of webbing and dive bag projects. Its not time to replace everything in my SSV. I have all panels out except the bow pad. I was barely able to get out the bow side panels accessing through the speaker holes but I can't even get near anything for the center pad. No access from the bottom and I do not have docking lights for access. I'm in need of input. Not my boat but the same set up. My 2003 has 2002 cushion layout.

ended up cutting the upholstery on the pad while in place and there are three bolts holding it in place. two on top and one center on the bottom. My friend with very skinny arms is barely able to touch the top ones and can't with the bottom. The only way I see access to them is to drill another large hole next to the speaker hole for better access. I've found a bunch of threads regarding this with no final resolutions.......help is appreciated prior to drilling a 5 inch hole.....
