i know there are some people with saltare,s who visit this bulletin board.
what is a good wieght set-up? i have about 700 lbs in the back and 230 up front.wake is good but a little steep.
can the wakeplate be adjusted to be a help?
another thing....i have a second boat.a maristar 225vrs with a LT1 5.7...at wakeboard speeds this engine makes only about 22/2400 rpm with a 14X20 4 blade prop.
the saltare 7.4 with a standard 3 blade goes up to 28/3200
rpm no need to say that feul consumtion between those 2 boats is BIG.
would a bigger prop on the saltare save some fuel?

each boat does 400+ hours a season...wakeboard school.
any tips are welcome.

sounds like you need more weight and more of it up front. 500 in the playpen and 500 behind the engine box worked really good for 4-5 riders. i also tried 500 on each side of the engine box, 500 in the playpen, and 250 in the rear locker....that seemed to be too much for my comfort, i suspect fat sacks make old floors give out quicker.

as for props and rpm's, i'm using an acme 3 blade. i can't recommend it enough. boarding speed is about 2800 rpm's now, weighted. i picked up some top end and have much better hole shot now, too.

a new prop makes the most noticable difference of any $300 you could spend, like night and day.
