I am pretty much a beginner as well, I like to search around www.wakeboarder.com, they have a bunch of info on wakeboarding. They got a nice trick section for us beginners.

www.wakeworld.com is a little better in my opinion. wakeboarder tends to cater to the younger crowd and sometimes they aren't very helpful.

you can always ask here, too.

I have viewed some of the training DVDs/tapes from Overton's and Bart's catalogs, they helped me out allot. For $20-40 it might help you too and you get to see some great riders do some really neat tricks..

Buy Detention, by shaun murray. It is kind of cheesey, but it will teach you what you need to know to learn, or head to a local camp or school in your area and take a lesson, definitely a good option.

I agree about the video "Detention". It is the best training video I have seen. Covers the simplistic basics in great detail all the way to the most insane advanced trick that I would never try.

The cheesey part is cool. "Parks, sit down back there" LOL
