1990 comp 351 what trans??

i picked up a 1990 comp with a 351w but it doesnt have a trans i have a velvet drive 1:1 but this motor has a 16 spline coupler on the motor? and the engine is almost level.can i adjust the motor and change the coupler and run the velvet drive?

Not sure if this helps but I have a 92 comp and it has the 1:2:3:1 trans

the flex plate can be changed. skidim has and so do a lot marine suppliers. They are usually universal for the common v8's. Your motor should be on a downward angle around 40 degrees with the trans hooked up. Check the alignment of the prop shaft going through the strut and it should go on the same angle as that and aligned to that.
