Hi

I saw some brown stains (no rust) on my rvs wakeboardracks (2009 22 ssv launch).
Boat has never seen any water till today. Stains looks like brown stripes on one side of the baseplate (where the supra logo is)

What is the best way to clean this?

Great name btw Stainless steel and then find some stains on my new boat

might not be the racks rusting - could be the hardware.

I would tend to agree with checking the hardware. We found several places on ours (07 22 SSV) where we had screws and washers rusting. You'd think after all these years of building boats stainless would be the only option, but hey what do I know.

Don't think it is rust

THose are different from mine - but is there any kind of "gasket" between the
2 metal parts that could be "bleeding"?

To me it looks like some acid in the air. Similar to acid rain. Do you live in a polluted area, or maybe welding near the boat, dust on racks?

It was under a cover always been inside. No welding maybe some dust.
But is this cleanable???
Its is only on one side of 1 rack,
Any change it can be warenty because this boat is brand new?

Talked to my dealer. He is contacting SC.
My dealer says that it will be hard to get this claimed.

If there would be no sollution for this problem i will be verry disapointed but it would
be a value lesson for the future.

Got an e-mail from Titan Wake Accessories, Scott Sax about my complain.
Did not heard anything from SC but maybe that is still underway?
They are willing to help and verry helpfull. That is great service.

After seeing the pictures he thinks:

"My hunch is that it's some sort of residue from an adhesive that may have come from some protective wrapping that was put on the boat for shipping.
It seems like the cause is something external. Plus the splotchy pattern is indicative of residue from a protective film or cover."

I hope that they can swap my boardrack for a new one.

After the mail from Titan i am confident that there will be an solution.
I love the way Titan communicate, they realy want to help and that is great service.
Generaly the sevice i get from the US is super, verry different from the service i get from some European retailers
