Anyone have pics of where the stock transom remotes are located? I was thinking of adding one and wanted to know where the best spot to locate one would be.

I would love to do this but I can't find any kind of transom remote for a reasonable price. Which to me would be like $30-50.

Mine is just above the "A" in Supra.

Same place on my 08 24SSV - just to the right of the "hand bar"

When I installed mine, I put it on the exact opposite of center location as Jonyb. This made the task of routing the cable that much easier. I put the y connector at the stereo and ran the new ext cable behind the interior wall, behind the carpet in the ballast compartment right to the remote.

I installed the second remote not outside the boat but in the boat.
This works better for me and it won't get cracked by wakeboarders or skieers.

Also found an sollution to install my GPS without drilling.

MVD, I also use a RAM mount for my GPS, but I like your "pole mount" better than
mine -the one I have uses a "U" bolt - but it works great, and I have it in exactly
the same spot!

I filled the gap between the polemount and the pole with 2 pieces of rubber hose.
I have the U-bolt for my motorbike but i thought it was to heavy for the boat

Mount is:
RAP-B-231U from rammount

I put my remote above the run rail... Still haven't taken it out with it on. Thats where the old one was so I just had to drill out the hole a little more. I think it looks pretty good.

Mikey, I have my old remote that should work, I never used it though. It was hooked up to the kenwood that was in my boat when I bought it. I dont know if your deck has a plug for a remote. This remote has four wires marked, power, ground, signal, and light. No display, just buttons. Let me know if you want me to send you some pictures and we can work something out.

Tay thanks but I ended up not even using a CD deck. Just the ipod into the EQ into the amp. I've heard most of these wired remotes are brand-specific and only work with the matching brand. Is this true?

man seeing all of this new technology on the new boats really makes mine look pretty obsolete....I like all the stuff that comes with the new boats. They are light years ahead of where they used to be.
