Last year I upgraded the stereo in my boat. Started with: OEM Kenwood head unit, Wet Sounds WS-420, OEM Kenwood 6.5's in bow, in-boat, and 4 Wet Sounds XS-650's in the stock cans. Had 4 JL Audio 10W0's (2 under each console) in sealed boxes, 2 4-channel Kenwood Excelon amps, and 1 1000W Kenwood Excelon mono amp.

This year, I tore it all out and started over again. The new equipment: With the same head unit and WS-420, added a syn 6, Syn 4, and 2 Syn 1's. For speakers I replaced the stock cans with a Wet Sounds 3-some powered by the Syn6, 6 XS-650's in the OEM in-boat locations powered by the Syn4, and 2 Wet Sounds XS-XXX 12's each powered by each Syn1. We built 2 separate ported enclosures for the XXX's. For power, I already had 2 Stinger SP1500D batteries, and added an SP800 this time for starting and accessories. I also added 3 Stinger charger/maintainers for each battery. I hid all the wiring for the chargers under one of the panels and ran a single 12gauge cord to a location in the ballast locker with a hook to hang a cord on. I've got a 25' 12 gauge cord that will be used to plug in the chargers. All I'll have to do when I get back to the dock or on the trailer is throw the cord out and plug it in.

Those were all taken about a month ago. I recently finished up everything, so here are the finished pics....

Added the Oznium LED's in the cupholders, superbrightleds.com lights in the consoles, and dual LED pucks under the swim platform. Also finished the stereo and sub boxes...

Thanks John,

My "cupholder bling" arrived yesterday from oznium.

Waiting to see what to do about the under-swim-platform setup.
I like the price of yours.

You gonna change the connection technique based on what they were telling
you over on wakeworld forum?

Did you just go with the prewired and wrapped single LED for the cupholder?

I would be really interested to see those under-platform lights in action in the water.

Todd, I am seriously looking into buying those and putting them in my boat. Let me know how the install goes. It seems like it would my very simple. Just running the power and ground cables would require taking some panels off. If you have the time and willing to put in the effort, take some pics of your install and post them up here for us to see. Thanks and Good Luck!

Ok TayTay,

It may be a while ... supposed to get 10-30 inches of white stuff overnight.

I also bought 2 switches from oznium.com as well, I am not 100% sure I 'ALWAYS' want
the cupholder bling lights on when the rest of the cabin lights are on.

I have a lot to add when the weather warms up:

* cupholder bling
* I bought a battery monitor when I bought my trickle charger (which I installed last fall) - that I still have to install,
* I have "Traxx" pad to install on the gunnels
* I have to remove the WS-420 from my old boat and move it to the Supra

And I am sure there are a few otehr things I am forgetting!

Battery stuff from www.batterystuff.com:

TayTay,

I agree, it should be simple - the tough part COULD be having to enlarge the holes
in the bottom of the drink holders.

John - did you silicone yours in? Some people are worried about losing the drain hole,
and drill a second one for that - did you?

BTW - John, I LOVE how clean your wiring is. Do you do that for a living? Not many people
clean it up like that.

Not sure just yet. I'm gonna wait and see what happens. Still gonna be another 2 weeks before it's in the water.

Same ones that Todd posted. Oznium.com's 4 Chip superflux LED.

I did enlarge the holes. They taper down at the bottom, so it kind of helped hold them in. I drilled the holes with a unit-bit to keep them tapered and then when the light was almost flushed in, I stopped there, then added some silicone to keep them in. As for the drain, no other holes. I'm not worried about those. I always use koozies and they keep all the moisture inside them. The cupholders are also under the panels, so rain would have a hard time getting in there, not to mention my boat has only seen a storm once, and the cover was on before anything got wet.

Thanks for the compliments. Todd, I do installs aside from my day-job. Thanks to the internet and the big-box stores like Best Blow, the local mom-and-pop's shops don't exist, and good installers can't make a living at those stores. I work swing shift in a Nuclear facility (average 15 days/month), and run a car audio/security business on the side. We sell several brands and hold the names in our territory so other places can't sell them. It's a word-of-mouth business and we have at least 2 installs going at one time. Also build police cars for the county Sheriff's Department, and some for other local agencies.

Here's a few picture links for installs we've done:

Seeing how well your stereo was installed is beautifull. It is a thrill to me to see how well something can be done. Your boat is great. I appreciate the clear and plentifull pics. Gives me many ideas. Thanks, and nice ride.

Jonyb....quick question. When you wired your led lights in the cup holders did you just wire them in a series? I'm really thinking about doing this because it's a big bang for the buck in terms of boat bling!

Thanks!
