Thats my original thread. I got busy and didn't have time to go until today.
He wants 5k for it and claims he cant go any lower. It needs stringers, all upholstery, major work to the fiberglass (cracks, chips, etc), the bolts holding the swim platform on were falling out and it was cracked around the brackets, the trailer is rusted out and needs tires, the bottom of the boat was messed up real good lol, it definitely had a leak of some sort because there was a brand new bilge pump even though he told me he never has to use it haha, the neutral safety switch doesn't work the prop was spinning the whole time he was cranking it, the tach and speedo don't work, and there is s*** load of silicone on anywhere that would leak in.
here are a few pics, tell me what you think its worth....

I agree with the $500 comment ... that thing is a mess. I think you can do way better ... I don't think I would trust that trailer to go a mile.

I was only sorta kidding with the $83 comment. $5k? the guy is nuts.

gotta love the timber trailer bunk. the curse of the bad previous owner is strong with this one. how about the snaps about 4" below the rub rail, wtf?

i don't know why but i'm surprised to see more rust on the trailer than the engine.

he could part it out and try to make some money. otherwise, it's going to cost whoever buys it at least $2k in materials to get the floor back together...doing it yourself. add the trailer, tranny, and whatever engine issues....$$$$.

i'd ask him for the title, keys, and a contribution to your rebuild fund. that's if you want to spend a few months working on a boat instead of enjoying it. it'll probably get you thru the summer, if it runs, and the trailer doesn't leave you stranded. lol it probably take a torpedo to stop these old boats from running completely.

$5k?...ever see the movie Used Cars?...'that price is too f@#*ing high'

it runs strong besides the hacked up carb. Before i left i made a comment about i would have to put the boat in the water and work on the trialer instead of driving the boat. It would be nice to find one like our old one but we will see what i find

When I bought my Saltare it was similar to the one you are looking at. My trailer was much better but that boat looks just a little better than mine. I have spent alot of time fixing her up. It has been enjoyable but I am about at the point were the money I spent is more than she is worth. Keep looking unless you like the satisfaction of fixing it up, I do.

I would have been done at fifty feet away. When the boat or car or house is so abused
on the outside you can bet its screwed on the inside [engine ,transmission ] run away from this one. I doubt there are any parts worth saving? $5000 firm PLEASE.
